Community Cook-Off

Safer Neighbourhood Board Participation in Lewisham Community Cook-Off, held
7 June. This is an annual event aimed at building positive relations between our

community, SNBs, Local Authority and other agencies. The fun and laughter
element is the glue that help to break down barriers and promote cohesion.
The Safer Neighbourhood Board (SNB) team consisted of: Royston, Sharon, Funmi,
Tayo, and 17-year-old David, Youth IAG member
Event Highlights
The food competition commenced at 12 pm, with two panels of judges evaluating
the dishes. Although our team didn’t win, we were thrilled to be part of the
competition and engage with the community.
Outcomes
Our participation fostered team bonding and community connections. We look
forward to improving our culinary skills and competing again next year.
Conclusion
The Lewisham Community Cook-Off was a fun and engaging event that promoted
community spirit and social interaction. We are looking forward to next years’
event, sustaining community trust, vibrancy and cohesion
